LEEDS NORTH EAST CIRCUIT

CIRCUIT MEETING SUMMARY - MARCH 2011

Woodhouse

There will be a final celebration service at Woodhouse on 12th June. Mingled with regrets and sadness is gladness for the faithful witness and service shown by the congregation at Woodhouse over the years.

Moortown

Sunday morning services are no longer taking place at Moortown. A Film & Faith evening is being held there monthly. The members are meeting for worship at Alwoodley Park and at St Stephens and the building is being well used by the local community.

Social Networking Project

At the half-way point through the 1- year project which Graeme Dutton has undertaken, we are urged to give our support with prayer and interest.

Look out for Graeme’s Lent blog at www.duttyo.wordpress.com

or on the St Arnold’s website www.saintarnolds.moonfruit.com

Joint Circuit Discussions with Leeds East

Each local church in the two circuits now has a ‘contact person’ to feedback your concerns and comments on the proposed new circuit and to find answers to your questions. Your church stewards will know who that person is for your church.

Biblefresh

To mark the Year of the Bible, each circuit in our district is being asked to handwrite 2 chapters of the bible before the District Spring Synod on May 7th. It is hoped that we may be able to involve people from outside our churches in this. Also at Spring Synod will be a display of artwork based on the parables of Jesus. Barry Claughton has painted ‘The Parable of the Prodigal Son’ as the contribution from our circuit.

Circuit Forums Evening this year will be on Wednesday 7th December at 7.30pm at Roscoe.
